The Optic Contingency System™ (Patent Pending) does the following:
– Provides UNOBSTRUCTED view of your optic window. Take back your glass!
– Provides a TRANSITIONLESS backup sight picture. You do not need to change eye focus, change grip, or tilt the gun to use your backup irons seamlessly.
– Provides a UNIQUE and proprietary (to XS Sights) front sight, which is as thin of a post as possible while still housing a tritium vial and an ultra thin white line outlining the tritium. This provides the most inconspicuous front sight possible, while making it findable in that emergency.
– Inherently suppressor compatible – Works best with optics with a 407c/507c max height or less. While functional with SRO or 507COMP, there is a slight transition required.
This is the first unique iron sight rear geometry designed specifically for pairing with an optic on a handgun, making the U-Notch obsolete.
INCLUDES FRONT SIGHT – Not pictured. Includes TRITIUM in both rear and front. Tritium is necessary for best results in all lighting conditions. Has side serrations. No charging handle threads.
Construction: 7075-T6 Aluminum, Black hard coat anodized per Mil Spec. Made in Minnesota and Texas. Tritium by XS.

Product quality/fit/finish is excellent. Design is extremely intuitive and practical. The tritium vials are also plenty bright. Customer service was top notch. I didn’t realize the front sight was included with the mounting plate so I ordered an additional front sight. Shortly thereafter, I realized I goofed up and contacted Patnik. They responded very quickly and we’re happy to help amend my order/issue a partial refund. Definitely 6 out of 5 stars!!

Best sighting / mounting setup I’ve found for the Rival S (and similar). Honestly, I was really apprehensive/skeptical about this sighting setup as I’ve been using a black out rear with fiber front for years and didn’t expect great results but I also really like having irons for one handed shooting in case things get a bit off the rails and I need to quickly get my alignment back. I took a class with Tim Herron where we did a number of one-handed shooting drills and this system was as good as my co-witness blacked-out rear, fiber front on other pistol..or even better. Very simple to use and visible when you need it but doesn’t crowd your site picture. I’ve totally flipped my script from skeptical to a believer. Have run this thing hard for thousands or rounds in drills and USPSA matches and zero is still perfect. Definitely recommended!
